...Brief storm force winds up to 55 knots are possible this
afternoon...

A brief 5 hour window from Noon EST to 5 PM EST will see a quick
wind direction change to the north with storm force wind gusts up
to 55 knots. The strongest winds will be around Isle Royale to
the Keweenaw Peninsula and east of the Keweenaw Peninsula from Big
Bay through Grand Marais. Otherwise, gales up to 45 knots can be
expected this afternoon with the winds diminishing quickly after
midnight.
