.DISCUSSION...
Cooler and drier weather is expected today as cold air advection
continues behind the cold front. As high pressure ridging builds in
today through this weekend, expect breezy northerly winds up to 20
mph this morning and early afternoon to drop late this afternoon,
becoming calm tonight. The calm winds in combination with the colder
air is expected to bring areas of frost to the interior west late
tonight, leading to uncovered vegetation being damaged or destroyed
in spots. While dry conditions continue through Labor Day weekend
thanks for high pressure ridging, no fire weather concerns are
expected as RHs are expected to remain above 40% and winds are
projected to be light. However, we can expect high temperatures to
return to the 70s by this weekend.
