042 FNUS53 KMQT 301002 FWFMQT FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN National Weather Service Marquette MI 601 AM EDT Mon Jun 30 2025 .DISCUSSION...Lingering showers over the east diminish this morning, then scattered showers and thunderstorms return for this afternoon and evening. Widespread accumulations will be between a trace and 0.1 inch, however a few stronger storms could yield up to 0.5 inches. The Keweenaw likely will miss out on all precipitation today. Otherwise expect temperatures to warm up into the mid 70s to mid 80s with minimum RH in the 40s percents. Generally east winds are expected between 5-10 mph with gusts around 15 mph this afternoon; variable winds are anticipated over the east where some lake breezes are possible. Dry weather returns from west to east this evening into tonight, with mostly dry weather on Tuesday. RH recovers as temps settle into the 50s to low 60s by Tuesday morning. Tuesday brings similar minimum RH as today with highs in the 70s to mid 80s. Winds will be stronger out of the northwest around 10-15 mph with gusts up to 20-25 mph.
