FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
601 AM EDT Thu Oct 16 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Mostly sunny skies this morning give way to clouds and eventually
rain across much of the U.P. tonight into Friday morning, with the
best chances and highest rainfall amounts expected near Lake
Superior and in the Keweenaw (up to 0.25 to potentially even 0.50
inch). While winds may pick up a little by this afternoon and RHs
drop down into the 40 percents, no fire weather concerns are
expected today. Expect excellent RH recoveries tonight. Additional
rain showers could be seen the rest of this weekend, particularly
over the east half where rain chances are best.
