FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
601 AM EDT Mon Aug 4 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Mainly dry weather persists today through Tuesday, but a few
afternoon showers/storms cannot be ruled out along lake breeze
boundaries. Temperatures this afternoon peak in the upper 70s to
lower 80s across much of the UP and in the mid/upper 70s near Lake
Superior. RH falls to around 40-45% for most of the interior of the
UP. Expect light southerly winds, with lake breezes developing off
of the Great Lakes during the afternoon. Tuesday will be almost a
repeat of today, but a more moist airmass working in will result in
minimum relative humidity falling only as far as the mid 40s.
