The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  South Central Chippewa County in west central Wisconsin...
  Northwestern Eau Claire County in west central Wisconsin...

* Until 430 PM CDT.

* At 405 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
  tornado was located near Altoona, or 5 miles southeast of Eau
  Claire, moving north at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught
           without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or
           destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows and vehicles will
           occur. Tree damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include...
  Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, Altoona, Lake Hallie, Lake Wissota,
  Seymour, Eau Claire Airport and Bateman.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built
building away from windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home,
or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.
