The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Blue Earth County in south central Minnesota...
  Southeastern Brown County in south central Minnesota...
  Northeastern Faribault County in south central Minnesota...
  Northeastern Watonwan County in south central Minnesota...

* Until 830 PM CDT.

* At 742 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Madelia, or
  18 miles south of New Ulm, moving east at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind
           damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Lake Crystal, Madelia, Mapleton, Minnesota Lake, Good Thunder,
  Amboy, Vernon Center, Lewisville, Pemberton, Easton, Delavan and
  Garden City.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning is one of nature`s leading killers. Remember, if you can
hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
