...NWS Damage Survey for 8/29/24 Severe Weather Event - Update 1...

.Update...Added thunderstorm wind swath from Anoka to near Andover.

.Overview...A line of thunderstorms progressed northeast across
eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin in the late afternoon and
early evening of August 29. Swaths of wind damage and several
embedded tornadoes developed within this line. Additional
tornadoes will be added to this list as they are being finalized.

Trees were uprooted, two farm outbuildings were destroyed, and
a pole barn sustained roof damage.

Tornado developed at Bellwood Oaks Golf Course, uprooting several
trees, then continued northeast. A narrow path of sporadic tree
damage occurred along the track until it dissipated near the
intersection of 190th St E and Patrick Ave.
