...EXTREME COLD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO
NOON CST TUESDAY...

* WHAT...For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low
  as 35 below. For the Extreme Cold Warning, dangerously cold wind
  chills as low as 40 below expected.

* WHERE...Morrison, Todd, Douglas, Pope, Stevens, and Swift Counties.

* WHEN...For the Cold Weather Advisory, until midnight CST tonight.
  For the Extreme Cold Warning, from midnight tonight to noon CST
  Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 40 below zero
  could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
  Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged
  exposure.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Persons are urged to stay indoors until conditions improve. If you
must go outside, dress in layers. Several layers of clothes will
keep you warmer than a single heavy coat. Cover exposed skin to
reduce your risk of frostbite or hypothermia. Gloves, a scarf, and a
hat will keep you from losing your body heat.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.

Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.

  southeast, southwest, and west central Minnesota and northwest and
  west central Wisconsin.

* WHEN...Until noon CST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 35 below zero could cause
  frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes. Very cold
  temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
