...The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities has issued a
Flood Warning for the following rivers in Minnesota...

  Minnesota River at New Ulm affecting Blue Earth, Brown and
  Nicollet Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Minnesota River at New Ulm.

* WHEN...From Friday afternoon to Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 801.0 feet, Flood gate at 18th South Street is closed.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 845 AM CDT Thursday, the stage was 798.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 801.3 feet early
    Sunday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
    Thursday, August 28.
  - Flood stage is 800.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    801.4 feet on 04/26/2018.
