...Forecast flooding changed from Moderate to Major severity and
increased in duration for the following rivers in Minnesota and
Wisconsin...

  Mississippi River at Red Wing affecting Pierce, Goodhue and Pepin
  Counties.

.The increased stage level for Red Wing is a result of upstream flow
with contributions from multiple rivers allowing for a rise to just
above 16ft, which is major flood stage.

The remainder of rivers continue their slow decline, which will be
hindered by incoming rainfall this week such that continued river
flooding is expected.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Red Wing.

* WHEN...Until Sunday, July 07.

* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Red Wing Milling Company may experience
  basement flooding and begin pumping.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 815 PM CDT Sunday, the stage was 15.8 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 815 PM CDT Sunday was 15.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.0
    feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage
    Friday evening.
  - Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    15.8 feet on 04/01/2019.
