...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Minnesota...

  Minnesota River near Jordan affecting Carver, Scott and Sibley
  Counties.

  Minnesota River at Granite Falls HWY 212 affecting Renville,
  Yellow Medicine and Chippewa Counties.

  Minnesota River at Morton affecting Redwood and Renville Counties.

  Minnesota River at Montevideo affecting Lac qui Parle, Yellow
  Medicine and Chippewa Counties.

.While areas of heavier localized rainfall occurred across the
Minnesota River Valley on Wednesday, most rivers will continue to
gradually fall over the next several days.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

* WHERE...Minnesota River near Jordan.

* WHEN...Until Friday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 25.0 feet, Low lying areas and some roads along the
  river begin to flood and private sanitary sewers may experience
  problems.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 745 PM CDT Wednesday, the stage was 25.3 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 745 PM CDT Wednesday was 25.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    tomorrow evening and continue falling to 19.7 feet Wednesday,
    September 03.
  - Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    25.3 feet on 03/20/2007.

  along the river at the foot bridge.

  - At 815 PM CDT Wednesday, the stage was 885.3 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 815 PM CDT Wednesday was 885.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    Sunday evening and continue falling to 884.7 feet Wednesday,
    September 03.
  - Flood stage is 885.0 feet.
