Rating: EF-U Estimated Peak Wind: N/A Path Length /statute/: 2.0 miles Path Width /maximum/: 100 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 08/04/2025 Start Time: 07:14 PM EDT Start Location: St. Cloud Start Lat/Lon: 28.2879 / -81.1579 End Date: 08/04/2025 End Time: 07:22 PM EDT End Location: St. Cloud End Lat/Lon: 28.2893 / -81.1213 A brief tornado occurred over northern rural Osceola County as confirmed by a combination of video evidence from local media partners and data from the National Weather Service Melbourne (KMLB) radar. The brief, and likely weak, tornado developed as a result of numerous low-level boundary collisions. The circulation is estimated to have touched down at approximately 7:14 PM EDT along the southern side of Lake Joel in St. Cloud, near Sungrove Ln and the C-32 Canal. KMLB radar data indicate the circulation, along with a corresponding debris signature, moved east over a densely wooded area before subsequently lifting around 7:22 PM EDT, just west of Storey Bend Rd. Given limited access to the affected area, the track is considered approximate, and an EF rating cannot be provided at this time. Refinements to the track will be made if additional photographic or video evidence becomes available. && EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the following categories: EF0.....65 to 85 mph EF1.....86 to 110 mph EF2.....111 to 135 mph EF3.....136 to 165 mph EF4.....166 to 200 mph EF5.....>200 mph NOTE: The information in this statement is preliminary and subject to change pending final review of the event and publication in NWS Storm Data. $$ Ulrich
