...FREEZE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM TO 9 AM EST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low
  as 25 to 30 degrees expected. For the Freeze Warning, sub-freezing
  temperatures as low as 31 expected.

* WHERE...Lake and inland Volusia counties.

* WHEN...For the Cold Weather Advisory, from 3 AM to 9 AM EST
  Thursday. For the Freeze Warning, from 4 AM to 9 AM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Wind chill values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged
  exposure. Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other
  sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
  plumbing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and
unfrozen water.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
