.DISCUSSION...
A weak pressure gradient will result in light winds becoming
variable at times until the sea breezes develop and push through,
shifting winds easterly at 5-10 mph. Isolated to scattered showers
will develop along the sea inland moving sea breezes in the
afternoon, becoming scattered to numerous in the evening as the sea
breezes and boundaries come together across the interior. Slightly
higher chances of showers and storms Thursday, then very high
chances Friday and the weekend as moisture increases from the front
stalled across north Florida sagging south towards Central Florida.
Hot and humid conditions continue today with high temperatures 90-40
resulting in peak afternoon heat indices 102-107, briefly up to 109
in a few hot spots. Temperatures return closer to normal late week
and into the weekend as highs drop a degree or two to 89-93 with
peak afternoon heat indices 101-106 Thursday, further dropping
another degree or two going towards the weekend.
No min RH concerns. Afternoon smoke dispersion Poor to Fair due to
weak transport winds.
Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
However, localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or
existing fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
