.DISCUSSION...
Low pressure will push northeast across the southeast U.S. today,
dragging a cold front through central Florida later tonight. Rain
chances increase ahead of the front, with scattered showers and
isolated lightning storms pushing northeast and offshore during the
day. Any storms that develop will have the potential to produce
lightning strikes and strong wind gusts. However, even outside of
any storms it will be breezy, with southwest winds 15-20 mph
frequently gusty - up to 30-35 mph at times. The winds will diminish
during the evening. Northerly winds around 5-10 mph Wednesday become
gradually onshore into late week as high pressure builds in behind
the front. Drier conditions are forecast, but no low RH concerns are
expected. Dispersion values will be Generally Good to Very Good
today, and Poor to Fair on Wednesday/Thursday.
Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
However, patchy fog and/or low stratus clouds will be possible early
this morning, especially across the interior. Localized visibility
reductions due to smoke from new or existing fires will be possible
even if fog is not forecast.
