...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN HYDE AND SOUTHERN
TYRRELL COUNTIES THROUGH 315 PM EDT...

At 242 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
capable of producing a waterspout over The Pamlico Sound near Swan
Quarter Ferry Terminal, or 22 miles north of Cedar Island, moving
north at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
         hazardous waters. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs
         and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Scranton, Fairfield, Swindell Fork, Rose Bay, Lake Mattamuskeet, and
Swan Quarter Ferry Terminal.
