...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN ONSLOW COUNTY THROUGH
845 PM EDT...

At 754 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Maple Hill, or 12 miles northwest of Surf City, moving east at 40
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
New River Station, North Topsail Beach, Haws Run, Folkstone, Hubert,
Onslow Beach, Camp Lejeune Center, Sneads Ferry, Midway Park, Holly
Ridge, Hammocks Beach, Verona, Hammocks Beach State Park, Swansboro,
Dixon, Sea View Pier, and Jacksonville.
