...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL BEAUFORT AND
PAMLICO COUNTIES THROUGH 900 PM EDT...

At 815 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Edward, or 16 miles southeast of River Road, moving southeast at 25
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Florence, Janeiro, Edward, Grantsboro, Royal, Whortonsville,
Bonnerton, Maribel, Nc Pamlico, Merritt, Bayboro, Alliance, Arapahoe,
Aurora, Stonewall, Vandemere, and Mesic.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight EDT for
eastern North Carolina.
