...TROPICAL STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT...

* WHAT...For the Albemarle Sound and Alligator River, northeast
  winds 25 to 35 kt with gusts up to 40 kt and very rough
  waters. For the coastal waters from Duck to Surf City and
  portions of Croatan, Roanoke, and Pamlico Sounds, northeast
  winds 30 to 40 kt with gusts up to 50 kt and seas 15 to 24 ft
  across the coastal waters.

* WHERE...Portions of Alligator Rivers, Albemarle, Croatan and
  Roanoke and Pamlico Sounds and the adjacent Atlantic coastal
  waters.

* WHEN...Tropical Storm force winds possible over the next few
  hours.

* IMPACTS...Tropical storm force winds and hazardous seas will
  capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for hazardous conditions.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller
vessels, should avoid navigating in hazardous conditions.
