.DISCUSSION...
A weak cold front will move into eastern NC late today and cross
the region Thursday producing unsettled conditions across
eastern NC. High pressure will build over the area over the
weekend into early next week with mostly fair weather conditions
expected.

Fairly warm, muggy, and mainly dry conditions persist today. A
slight chance of showers and an isolated thunderstorm is possible
this afternoon mainly north of the Pamlico and Pungo Rivers. Light
westerly winds less than 5 mph will persist until this afternoon
when wind direction will become WNW.
