Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern North Carolina
National Weather Service Newport/Morehead City NC
303 PM EST Sat Nov 22 2025

.DISCUSSION....
A cold front will push through the area this afternoon and evening.
Cooler and drier high pressure rebuilds Sunday into early next week
before another frontal system brings the next chance of rain late
Tuesday through Wednesday. Cool and dry high pressure then builds back
in behind this system through the end of next week.

High minimum relative humidities over the next couple of days
(50-70%) will preclude any fire weather concerns through
Sunday. Minimum RHs fall to 30-40% on Monday, but winds will remain
relatively light at 10 kt or less. RHs jump back above 50% Tuesday
and Wednesday.
