Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern North Carolina
National Weather Service Newport/Morehead City NC
337 AM EDT Tue Oct 1 2024

.DISCUSSION...
Fire weather concerns remain LOW over the next couple of days.

A weak front will remain in the vicinity of ENC, providing a
daily chance of showers and thunderstorms today. Late today,
the front will begin to move south as a cold front, with gusty
north winds developing, especially along the Outer Banks. Where
thunderstorms occur, wetting rainfall is likely. High pressure
builds in to close out the rest of the week. Another front will
move through the area this weekend.
