Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern North Carolina
National Weather Service Newport/Morehead City NC
102 AM EDT Thu Jul 3 2025

.DISCUSSION....
Sea breeze showers and thunderstorms will bring additional rounds
of moderate rainfall to the area this afternoon, mainly east of
Highway 17. High pressure will then build in from the west through
the holiday weekend with the frontal boundary stalling off the
Southeast coast. There`s a 40% chance for tropical development
along this boundary later this weekend, which could bring
increased PoPs into next week.
