...GALE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM TO 11 PM PDT WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...North winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to 40 kt and steep
  wind driven seas 6 to 9 ft through this afternoon. Winds
  increase this evening, and seas become very steep and hazardous,
  building to 8 to 12 ft. Seas build further tonight into
  Wednesday as winds increase to gales, 25 to 35 kt with gusts to
  45 kt, and a moderate northwest swell mixes in with wind driven
  seas. Very steep combined seas of 11 to 15 ft are expected.

* WHERE...All areas. Very steep and hazardous seas are initially
  expected from Gold Beach southward this evening and overnight.
  Then all areas will experience gales and very steep and
  hazardous seas.

* WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until 5 AM PDT Wednesday.
  For the Hazardous Seas Warning, from 5 PM this afternoon to 5
  AM PDT Wednesday. For the Gale Warning, from 5 AM to 11 PM PDT
  Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds and very steep seas could capsize or
  damage vessels. Low visibility conditions are expected.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should alter plans to avoid strong winds and very steep
seas. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or
secure the vessel for severe conditions.

  Wednesday as winds increase, wind driven seas build and a
  moderate northwest swell moves into the waters. Steep to very
  steep and hazardous seas of 8 to 10 are expected through
  tonight, building to 10 to 12 ft on Wednesday.

* WHERE...All areas. Very steep and hazardous warning level seas
  are expected beyond 1 to 2 nm from shore and from Gold Beach
  southward this evening and overnight, expanding northward on
  Wednesday. Conditions hazardous to small craft are expected
  within 1 to 2 nm from shore.

* WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until 11 PM PDT
  Wednesday. For the Hazardous Seas Warning, from 5 PM this
  afternoon to 11 PM PDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Very steep and hazardous seas could capsize or
  damage vessels. Bar crossings will become especially
  treacherous.

Recreational boaters should remain in port. Commercial vessels
should prepare for very steep seas and consider remaining in port

  Wednesday as winds increase, wind driven seas build and a
  moderate northwest swell moves into the waters. Steep seas build
  to 8 to 10 this evening and overnight. Then, north winds
  increase to 20 to 25 kt with gusts to 35 kt, and steep to very
  steep seas build to 9 to 11 ft on Wednesday.

* WHERE...All areas from Coos Bay southward through tonight. Very
  steep seas develop beyond 1 to 2 nm from shore and from
  Reedsport southward early Wednesday morning, with conditions
  hazardous to small craft for all other areas.

* WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until 11 PM PDT
  Wednesday. For the Hazardous Seas Warning, from 5 AM to 11 PM
  PDT Wednesday.
