Fire Weather Forecast for southern Oregon and northern California
National Weather Service Medford, OR
252 AM PST Wed Jan 8 2025

.DISCUSSION...Dry high pressure is expected through Thursday
with a period of offshore flow and significant drying east winds at
the ridges. Strong valley inversions will lead to seasonably chilly
temperatures and generally poor mixing and ventilation, though coastal
areas will be comparatively milder. Expect areas of night and morning
valley fog, but with poor to moderate mid-slope and ridge relative
humidity recoveries. After a weak front passes on Friday with some
light precip for northern and western areas, high pressure is expected
to rebuild this weekend into next week.
