Issued by NWS Medford, OR
061 FNUS56 KMFR 060933 FWFMFR Fire Weather Forecast for southern Oregon and northern California National Weather Service Medford, OR 233 AM PDT Wed Aug 6 2025 .DISCUSSION... A weak front may bring some light rain to the coast and into the Umpqua Basin today. Otherwise, expect below normal to normal temperatures and breezy afternoon winds. As an upper trough shifts east, enhanced breezes are expected Thursday afternoon. High pressure builds into the area and temperatures will trend hotter from Friday onward, peaking well above seasonal norms early next week. A strong thermal trough along the coast will bring some gusty east to northeast winds Thursday night into the weekend, along with moderate to locally poor overnight recoveries, especially across coastal ridges and mountains in western Siskiyou County.
