Fire Weather Forecast for southern Oregon and northern California
National Weather Service Medford, OR
258 AM PDT Thu Oct 10 2024

.DISCUSSION...Dry weather will continue through Friday with moderate
overnight ridgetop recoveries. Ahead of an approaching disturbance,
gusty winds and low humidities are expected Friday afternoon and
evening east of the Cascades and Shasta Valley, but critical conditions
are not expected. Low pressure approaches the area late Friday night
into Saturday, resulting in some chances for precipitation in far
southwest Oregon, mainly near the coast and over the coastal
mountains, and into northern California. Mild temperatures and dry
weather are expected Sunday and Monday. Then, a front and upper
trough are expected to bring a wetter and cooler pattern mid to
late next week.
