The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Coastal waters from Chokoloskee to Bonita Beach FL out 20 NM...
  Coastal waters from East Cape Sable to Chokoloskee FL out 20 NM...

* Until 830 PM EDT.

* At 745 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
  waterspouts was located 8 nm east of Cape Romano, or 9 nm northwest
  of Chokoloskee, moving west at 10 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Chokoloskee, Cape Romano Aquatic Preserve, Cape Romano, and Marco
  Island.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
