This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Atlantic coastal waters, southeast Florida, southern Florida, southwest Florida and Gulf of Mexico. .DAY ONE...Today and tonight. Rip Currents: There is a moderate risk of rip currents for the Collier County beaches today. Marine: Hazardous marine conditions will continue across the offshore Atlantic waters as southwesterly winds remain between 20 and 25 kts. Thunderstorms: A few isolated thunderstorms could develop ahead of an approaching front later this afternoon mainly across the Lake Okeechobee region. Fog: There could be some areas of dense fog over the Gulf waters through the rest of the morning. Visibilities could be reduced to a mile or less in some spots. Wind: A breezy southwesterly wind flow will continue through the rest of the day out ahead of an approaching cold front. These winds could gust to 30 mph especially during the afternoon hours. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday. The risk of rip currents could remain elevated across the Atlantic Coast beaches into next week as onshore winds increase and a northeasterly swell develops. An elevated risk of rip currents will persist across the Gulf coast beaches into the early portion of the week. Hazardous marine conditions could return during the early portion of next week especially across the Atlantic waters as winds and seas increase. A chance of thunderstorms will return to portions of the region towards the middle of the week as another cold front approaches South Florida.
