Fire Weather Planning Forecast for the MidSouth
National Weather Service Memphis TN
319 PM CDT Sun Mar 9 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Low-end fire danger today and tomorrow across the northern half
of the region as dewpoints have consistently underperformed.
Minimum relative humidities are likely to drop below as much as
25% through this evening with similarly low values tomorrow and
Tuesday. However, winds are expected to be somewhat light,
although gusts above 20 mph have been observed over the
Mississippi River Delta this afternoon, but confidence is low that
similar winds continue through the rest of the forecast. Otherwise,
wetting rains continue across north Mississippi today and tonight
before letting up tomorrow.
