.DISCUSSION...
(This evening through next Friday)
Issued at 305 PM CDT Sat Oct 5 2024

Beautiful day across the Mid-South with mostly sunny skies and
temperatures into the 80s. Dew point temps remain in the 60s so
things do remain a bit on the muggier side. Similar conditions
expected overnight as last night with clear skies and calm winds.
There could be some patchy fog in those fog-prone areas, clearing
shortly after sunrise. Can essentially copy and paste today into
tomorrow as our upper-level pattern remains largely the same.
Expect for high temperatures in the 80s, with maybe even a few
locations across N. MS reaching the 90s.

By Monday, upper-level trough will begin to deepen over the
eastern half of the U.S, allowing for northwest flow to return to
the Mid-South. Weak frontal boundary will pass through the
overnight Sunday into Monday, allowing temperatures to fall back
to below normal for much of next week. Beginning on Monday, expect
for high temperatures generally spanning the 70s with overnight
temperatures in the 50s. Dew point temperatures will be much lower
next week, spelling for a very fall-like week as we move further
into October. Looking at some of the guidance even into next
weekend, there does not appear to be any rain chances for the
foreseeable future.

moves into the region late Sunday afternoon.
