...HIGH WIND WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY EVENING THROUGH FRIDAY
MORNING FOR GUADALUPE PASS...

* WHAT...For the High Wind Warning, northeast winds 40 to 50 mph.
  For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low as 6
  below. For the High Wind Watch, northeast winds 50 to 60 mph
  possible.

* WHERE...For the high Wind Warning and Watch, Guadalupe Pass.  For
  the Cold Weather Advisory, Guadalupe and Delaware Mountains.

* WHEN...For the High Wind Warning, until 9 AM CST /8 AM MST/ this
  morning. For the Cold Weather Advisory, until noon CST /11 AM MST/
  today. For the High Wind Watch, from Thursday evening through
  Friday morning.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile
  vehicles like campers, vans, and tractor trailers. The cold wind
  chills as low as 5 below zero could result in hypothermia if
  precautions are not taken. Wind chill values can lead to
  hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Delay travel through Guadalupe Pass or find another route, if
possible.

Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates.

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
