Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
152 AM CDT Fri Oct 17 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns remain low through next week. ERCs remain
at or below the 50th percentile with forecast fuel moisture
expected to remain at or above normal. Breezy conditions
associated with a cold front late Saturday and will elevate the
fire threat slightly while also shifting winds from the north
overnight. Min RHs stay above critical levels with recoveries
remain fair to good areawide.
