Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
151 PM CDT Tue Jul 8 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Little overall change to the fire weather forecast through the
remainder of the week. Fire weather concerns will remain minimal
given the recent wetting rains, min RHs staying above critical
thresholds, and generally light winds (outside of gusty, erratic
winds with any thunderstorms that may develop). RH recoveries
overnight will remain good to excellent. Lightning strikes from
thunderstorms could result in IA starts.
