Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
257 AM CST Thu Nov 7 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns continue to be low. An approaching weather
system brings increased moisture, cooler temperatures, and the
potential for significant rainfall north and east of the Pecos
River to end the week. While a warming and drying trend begins
this weekend through to at least the middle of next week, wind
speeds remain light and ERCs continue to remain low across much of
the region. This should keep fire weather concerns at bay for now
until a more prolonged period of drying occurs.
