Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
1252 AM CST Sat Nov 29 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns remain minimal as good recovery this morning
and lighter afternoon winds mitigate any threats. A strong cold
front arrives late today bringing well below normal temperatures
by Sunday with a hard freeze expected for most locations. We warm
by midweek with another front late in the week. The forecast
remains dry until late week when a low chance (20%) of rain enters
the picture.

For point-specific forecasts please see the Point Fire Weather
Matrix product issued by the Midland/Odessa National Weather
Service Office.
