503 FNUS54 KMAF 151816 FWFMAF Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX 116 PM CDT Tue Jul 15 2025 .DISCUSSION... Min RH above critical 15%, recent wetting rains, ERCs below 50th percentile, and light 20-ft southerly winds below 20 miles per hour keep fire weather conditions low, despite lower rain chances and warmer than average temperatures returning to the area. Fire starts from gusty, erratic winds and lightning in storms are still possible, but vegetation greenery should continue to limit spread and intensity of flames as long as fuel moisture remains high. && For point-specific forecasts please see the Point Fire Weather Matrix product issued by the Midland/Odessa National Weather Service Office.
