Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
202 AM CDT Sun Oct 12 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Min RH stays above critical 15% until late next week, with good
to excellent recovery, fuel ERCs still largely below 75th
percentile, and relatively light 20-ft winds. Cloud and rain
chances this weekend into early next week lead to low fire
weather conditions. Drier weather with continued southeast 20-ft winds
midweek keeps fire weather risk low despite warmer temperatures
and a few weeks` lack of widespread wetting rains.
