The National Weather Service in Midland has issued a

* Dust Storm Warning for...
  Central Eddy County in southeastern New Mexico...

* Until 745 PM MST.

* At 544 PM MST, a dust channel was near Carlsbad.

  HAZARD...Less than a quarter mile visibility with wind gusts in
           excess of 40 mph.

  SOURCE...Trained weather spotters.

  IMPACT...Dangerous life-threatening travel.

* Any local roads will be affected but particularly Highways 285 and
  62 could see dangerous travel conditions due to blowing dust.

Locations impacted include...
Brantley Lake State Park, Carlsbad, Avalon, Lake Avalon, Otis, Cavern
City Air Terminal, Carlsbad North, Living Desert State Park, Seven
Rivers Airport, and Lakewood.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
