.SHORT TERM...
(This afternoon through Sunday night)
Issued at 246 PM CST Sat Nov 9 2024

Quiet conditions and warming temperatures are in store during the
short term period. The storm system that led to intense weather out
east of us continues to track toward the Great Lakes. Tonight, calm
winds and continued clear skies help lows settle into the upper 30s
and low 40s.

Southwesterly flow in the upper levels becomes more zonal (east-to-
west) as we head into Sunday, allowing for a warming trend to ramp
up. Highs inch into the upper 60s in our northernmost areas, while
everywhere else warms into the 70s, with plenty of sunshine. Sunday
night`s lows also become relatively warmer, dropping down into the
upper 30s in the northern parts of the region, 40s for most, and the
lower 50s along the Rio Grande. Overall, the weather pattern has
settled down a bit, any changes in the long term? Continue reading

.LONG TERM...
(Monday through Friday)
Issued at 246 PM CST Sat Nov 9 2024

Mild and dry conditions continue into the early part of the coming
week as zonal(west to east) flow continues. Highs for Monday and
Tuesday reach several degrees above normal into the 70s for most.
Overnight temperatures falling near normal into the mid to upper
40s. By late Tuesday and into Wednesday a system passes just north
of our area across the Rockies and into the Great Plains. A cold
front moves through early Wednesday morning and knocks temperatures
down towards normal for Thursday. Warming trend ends the extended as
southerly flow looks to return. While this would increase moisture,
rain chances continue to be quite low(<10%) for the entire forecast.
