This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a Large Part of Arkansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Oppressive conditions will return by Wednesday and continue into
Independence Day. Afternoon temperatures will top out in the 90s to
around 100 degrees. Maximum heat index values will range from 100 to
110 degrees and perhaps a little higher in places. Heat headlines
will likely be required.

Chances of showers and thunderstorms will increase Thursday night
into Friday as a cold front arrives from the north. Any severe
weather will be spotty, with strong to damaging wind the main
concern. Localized flash flooding is also possible, mainly in
northern and central sections of the state.

Many folks will be celebrating July 4th outdoors, and the weather is
a major concern given heat, thunderstorms, and lightning. People are
advised to play it safe and monitor conditions closely during the
holiday.

Slightly cooler, drier, and more seasonal air is in the forecast
Friday into the weekend. Thunderstorms will become more spotty as
well.

.Spotter Information Statement...

Spotter activation will not be needed.
