Fire Weather Planning Forecast For A Large Part Of Arkansas
National Weather Service LITTLE ROCK AR
1248 AM CDT Fri Oct 17 2025

...Fire Weather Headlines...

.Discussion...

Above average temperatures and moisture for this time of year will
continue through Saturday morning, keeping fire weather concerns
low. A strong change in the weather pattern will occur Saturday as
a cold front and line of strong to severe storms pushes from west
to east through the state. Winds will be higher ahead and will
shift quickly with an increase as the front pushes through in the
afternoon. Going into early next week the area will see much
cooler temperatures and drier conditions. Winds may increase
Tuesday out of the north with lower RH and may increase the fire
weather risk slightly, compared to what we`ve seen lately.
