...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 415 AM CST EARLY THIS
MORNING FOR NORTHWESTERN POPE, WESTERN YELL, BOONE, WESTERN MARION,
NEWTON, WESTERN SEARCY, JOHNSON, LOGAN, NORTHWESTERN MONTGOMERY,
POLK AND SCOTT COUNTIES...

At 111 AM CST, Doppler radar continues to indicate showers and
thunderstorms and areas of heavy rain over western Arkansas.
Precipitation is affecting locations mainly northwest of Mountain
Home, Russellville, and Mount Ida. Many spots in the Ozark and
Ouachita Mountains have received 4 to more than 10 inches of rain
since Sunday...most of which has fallen since since yesterday. Given
so much rain and additional rainfall expected...there will likely be
considerable and possibly life threatening flash flooding in places.
This includes road closures...washed out roads...and water into
homes and businesses.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
