Unsettled conditions will prevail during this period.

.LONG TERM...
(Saturday Night through next Thursday)
Issued at 248 PM CDT Thu Mar 27 2025

Forecast focus continues to emphasize a potential severe weather
episode on Sunday (3/30).

Short wave energy, and an associated cold front, will move east
through the mid south on Sunday. As was mentioned yesterday, This
timing of which will have a large affect on storm mode, available
instability and associated impacts.

Forecasts of this system has some of the same challenges as
others this year. Monitoring behavior of the EML and associated
convective inhibition, and the affect of these on mitigating
forcing mechanisms on the atmospheric column will be key to
focusing locations and timing of impacts. Later forecasts will be
able to refine the locations and timing of impacts.

Above normal temperatures will continue to prevail during this
forecast period.
