.DISCUSSION...

...ELEVATED THREAT FOR RAPID FIRE SPREAD CONTINUES THIS
AFTERNOON...

Sustained west winds continue to decrease this afternoon, with
sustained winds around 10-15mph and gusting up to 25-30mph at the
burn site. Minimum relative humidity values around 25-30 percent
for the rest of this afternoon, then recovering to 60-70 percent
tonight. Temperatures tonight fall to the low 30s.

Winds gradually decrease tonight, with sustained west winds
around 5-10 mph. Gusts drop off after 7pm to around 10-15 mph.

Lighter winds are expected Monday. Continued dry conditions and
temperatures jumping to around 60 degrees. Minimum relative
humidity humidity values around 30-35 percent, with light/variable
wind around 5 mph (varying from west to north). Skies mostly
sunny to partly cloudy as high pressure builds over the region. Smoke
dispersion is forecast to be fair Monday.

Looking to the rest of the week ahead, RHs will gradually rise in
south to southwest flow ahead of an approaching frontal system
late week. Winds gradually increase each day through the end of
the week, but no day looks to have winds that are overly
concerning until perhaps Friday. However, the increasing humidity
should help to quell the wildfire risk during this time.

Significant wetting rain looking more likely next weekend.
