Canadian high pressure builds in from the north today, with frost
and freezing temperatures likely west of Interstate 95 tonight. High
pressure settles over the area Friday before shifting offshore this
weekend allowing warmer temperatures to return. A potent cold front
looks to cross the area late Sunday into Monday.

a combination of gusty winds and low relative humidity values. North
to northwest winds gust around 20 to 25 mph along and north of I-
66/US-50, with gusts of 15 to 20 mph to the south. Minimum RH values
are forecast to be 25 to 35 percent, with the driest (values less
than 25 percent) in the central Shenandoah Valley.

However, the strongest winds and lowest RH values do not overlap,
and fine fuels are currently just above the minimum threshold of
concern. As a result, the overall risk does not appear to reach the
