High pressure briefly builds back into the area today. The risk for wintry precipitation returns Saturday into Saturday night as another low pressure system crosses the region. Highs today will push toward 50 degrees with sustained northwest winds at 7 to 14 kts gusting up to 27 kts at times. Strongest winds will occur through 3pm before dropping off this evening and into the overnight hours. Lows tonight will fall back around 30 degrees with north winds at 5 to 7 kts. Winds will lighten while turning to the east and southeast Saturday morning into Saturday afternoon. Outside of the wind, expect snow and sleet to move over the crash location between 9-11am. Snow and sleet will transition to freezing rain late Saturday afternoon between 3-5 pm with a switch to plain rain before midnight. High temperatures Saturday will push toward 35 degrees with lows Saturday night around 32 degrees. For aviation, VFR conditions are expected through 6Z TAF period despite an increase in mid and high level cloud cover. MVFR to IFR conditions return Saturday mid morning into Saturday evening. For the marine waters, Small Craft Advisories continue through 4pm this afternoon. Waves around 1 foot becoming flat tonight. For tidal purposes, the next high tide is at 3:25 PM with the next low tide is at 11:01 PM (Thursday),While the next high tide is at 4:14 AM (Saturday). No tidal flooding is expected.
