...IMPACTFUL WINTER WEATHER IS POSSIBLE ACROSS MOST OF THE REGION
ON WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY...

A strengthening upper level storm system will bring two distinct
windows for accumulating snowfall to the region: First from late
Tuesday night into Wednesday, and again on Thursday.

An area of snow is expected to develop near the Texas-New Mexico
state line late Tuesday night, eventually expanding over most of the
South Plains, Rolling Plains, and far southern Texas Panhandle on
Wednesday morning. Light snow accumulations are possible through
the day on Wednesday, especially on the Caprock, which may result
in hazardous travel conditions.

A second round of snowfall is then expected to develop over most
of the region on Thursday. This second round has the potential to
bring more widespread snow accumulation compared to Wednesday,
which may result in difficult travel conditions on Thursday as
well.

Stay tuned to National Weather Service forecasts for updates and
additional information over the coming days.
