Through 2 am...a broken area of showers, with a few embedded
thunderstorms will persist across much of the southern Texas
Panhandle, with isolated activity possible into the northern South
and Rolling Plains. The strongest storms will be capable of
producing brief downpours, wind gusts in excess of 45 mph and
cloud to ground lightning. The activity was moving very slowly,
generally edging south and eastward.
