This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling
Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Showers and thunderstorms will be possible across the far southern
Texas Panhandle and South Plains today. Brief heavy rainfall along
with strong wind gusts up to 60 mph may be possible.

Temperatures or heat index values near 105 degrees are possible across
Kent, King, and Stonewall counties this afternoon. A Heat Advisory
has been issued for these counties from 1 pm to 8 pm CDT today.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Temperatures or heat index values near 105 degrees are possible
across the far southeastern Texas Panhandle and portions of the
Rolling Plains Thursday afternoon.

Late-afternoon and evening thunderstorms remain in the forecast for
portions of the far southern Texas Panhandle, South Plains, and
Rolling Plains from Thursday through Tuesday. The highest chance of
seeing widespread precipitation will be Thursday afternoon into
Friday morning.
