.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns are expected to remain low this afternoon despite minimum
RH values falling below the 20th percentile as northerly wind speeds remain
generally below 10 mph. Northerly winds will then back out of the southeast late
this evening were they are expected to continue to remain light through the early
morning. Although fire weather concerns are expected to be elevated to critical
for areas On the Caprock on Thursday, fire weather concerns are expected to remain
low near the burn site with localized elevated concerns thanks to minimum RH values
just above the 20th percentile. However, warmer temperatures in the mid to upper 70s
are expected with windy 20 foot southerly wind speeds around 20 to 25 mph, gusting to
40 mph in the afternoon.
